Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Beryslav municipality, situated on the right bank of the Dnipro River in the northeastern part of Kherson region, historically operated as a vital administrative, industrial, and agricultural centre of over 18,000 residents. Prior to the full-scale invasion, the municipality anchored its economy in high-yield grain and vegetable farming, food processing, and specialised manufacturing led by the Beryslav Machine-Building Plant. Currently operating as a critical frontline territory, the municipality faces immense recovery demands, with approximately 80% of its residential, educational, and civic infrastructure severely damaged or destroyed.
Faced with these profound challenges, the local administration is fully committed to the "Build Back Better" philosophy, prioritising climate-resilient engineering, modern energy-efficient technologies, and a comprehensive digital transformation of public services. The municipality’s immediate reconstruction agenda is heavily focused on the restoration of critical water supply systems, decentralized healthcare facilities, and localised grid security. For international donors, development agencies, and humanitarian partners, Beryslav represents a deeply resilient frontline platform requiring urgent technical cooperation, funding, and strategic partnerships to implement innovative, green reconstruction solutions and drive long-term civic revitalisation.
