Korets municipality is situated 70 km east of the regional centre of Rivne. It has a population of 24,100 and covers an area of 52,850 hectares. It comprises 34 localities. The municipality possesses land plots attractive to investors, as well as significant recreational potential and mineral resources, including granite, kaolin clay, radon mineral waters, building stone, peat, and raw materials for bricks and tiles. Korets is predominantly an agricultural municipality, with its economic specialisation focused on agriculture and the food industry, primarily small enterprises. It has a well-developed social infrastructure, including 16 agricultural enterprises, 18 educational institutions, a town hospital, a rehabilitation hospital, 3 medical clinics, 4 paramedic and midwifery stations, 11 health centres, 24 cultural centres and clubs, 22 libraries, and the Korets Historical Museum.
