The municipality occupies an exceptional logistical position as a major regional railway hub, ensuring seamless cargo and passenger transit across national lines to Kyiv, Lviv, and Rivne, while connecting directly to international trade corridors. This premier connectivity is further enhanced by its close proximity to the regional capital, Rivne, which provides rapid access to expanded commercial, educational, and administrative networks.
The economy features a powerful, diversified industrial core seamlessly integrated with developed agricultural and raw-material sectors. Zdolbuniv is nationally recognized for its heavy construction materials industry, anchored by large-scale cement manufacturing that leverages the area's massive, high-grade local chalk deposits. Complementing this flagship sector are established enterprises in mechanical engineering, agricultural equipment manufacturing, food processing, and a rural economy driven by over 20 active farms specializing in grain, industrial crops, and livestock production.
